FSL means “freestanding lace.” These designs are stitched onto water-soluble stabilizer. After stitching, the stabilizer is carefully rinsed away, leaving a decorative embroidery piece created from thread.

For the best result, hoop the water-soluble stabilizer firmly and use high-quality embroidery thread in both the needle and bobbin. Stitch at a low or medium speed and always make a test stitch-out before creating your final project.
